Art often imitates life, but in the upcoming international feature film Island, Yevhen Sudin’s art is the lifeblood of the scene. We are proud to announce that Sudin has joined the cast of this ambitious psychological thriller, filming amidst the dramatic volcanic landscapes of the Canary Islands.

A Meeting of Legends

Directed by the acclaimed Serhiy Skobun (Magnat Media P.C.), the film unites a stellar international cast. Sudin shares the screen with British acting royalty Kevin McNally (world-renowned as Mr. Gibbs from the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise) and the legendary Ukrainian actor Bohdan Benyuk.

The Role: More Than Just Acting

In a casting choice that blurs the lines between reality and fiction, Yevhen Sudin plays the role of a painter, bringing an authentic artistic presence to the character. But his contribution goes beyond acting; he also serves as an Art Director for the project, helping to shape the film's visual tone, which balances scorching sunlight with the cold mystery of the ocean.

Featured Works

Through the Storm

Fishing Boat

Two of Sudin’s evocative oil paintings, Through the Storm and Fishing Boat, were selected to feature prominently in the movie. These works are not merely background props; they are integral to the atmosphere of the film.

"In one of the scenes, the script calls for a moment of intense conflict where one of the paintings is destroyed by gangsters," Sudin reveals from the set in Tenerife. "It was an emotional moment to perform, seeing art and violence collide so viscerally."
